Headed by Dr. Will Kesling, the award winning University of Florida Choral Program consists of the University Chamber Singers, the University Concert Choir, the University Choral Union, the Chorale (treble choir), the Glee Club (tenor-bass choir), and Paenzi Sauti (African Choir).
Gold Medal – 2021 Audio Visual Arts Digital International Competition. AVA Digital Awards is an international competition that recognizes excellence by creative professionals responsible for the planning, concept, direction, design, and production of digital communication. Sounds of the Season: Conquering COVID with a Carol produced and conducted by Dr. Will Kesling.
The University Chamber Choir was the first North American choral ensemble to perform at CORPACOROS’ Encuentro Coral de Música Colombiana in 2012. Over the past few years, the Chamber Singers has also performed at conventions of the American Choral Directors Association.
The Concert Choir has performed with the San Diego Symphony, National Philharmonic, Washington, D.C., Czech National Orchestra, the Czech National Theater Orchestra, Orquesta Camerata Jaibaná (Colombia), the United States Air Force Band and Singing Sergeants as well as the Kronos String Quartet. The University Chamber Choir and the Choral Union have made appearances at Festival Coral de Medellín José María Bravo Márquez on several occasions. The Choral Union has performed with Orquesta Sinfonica de Medellín (Colombia).
